SEED Retrofit panels are built to the same high quality and standards as SEED new build insulated structural panels. Each panel is a fully sealed unit. Window openings and penetrations are installed in the factory to ensure long-term moisture control and airtightness.
Like standard SEED wall, floor and roof panels, SEED Retrofit panels use natural materials that store carbon, helping to mitigate climate change.

With a variety of options for fitting, fastening, and integrating SEED Retrofit Panels with your existing structure, Tooketree’s retrofit system is adaptable to many existing building types.
Fully sealed, factory-assembled panels
Depth of 9 ½” at 16” o.c. provides a clear field R value of 28 +
Drainage and ventilation are facilitated by pre-installed strapping
Incorporates biogenic insulation materials, mainly dense-packed cellulose
A high-performance WRB surrounds the entire retrofit panel
Site-installed adhesive WRB seals the connections (where necessary)
Site-installed compressible layer enables a snug fit with the existing wall (where necessary)
The fastening system used will depend on the existing wall structure; likely a combination of Rothoblaas GRK screws and steel brackets.
Penetrations for electrical, plumbing and HVAC are pre-installed into the retrofit panels in our factory.
If your retrofit includes new windows, you can choose to have your windows pre-installed in the factory.
Roof panels are constructed with similar materials. Please inquire about the specifics of your home.
