About SEED Building Panels
SEED Building Panels are high-performance wall, roof, and floor panels that are prefabricated, structural, and insulated. Each panel is precision-built for an exact fit, enabling quick installation and an airtight enclosure.
Wood-fabricated SEED panels are exceptionally well insulated using biogenic materials like cellulose insulation and wood fibreboard. These materials actively store carbon, locking it into the building’s structure for its entire lifetime.
Each panel is wrapped and sealed using smart membranes designed to optimize the building’s function and longevity while ensuring ultimate indoor comfort and energy savings. SEED Panels deliver exceptional R-Value and airtightness, reducing heating and cooling needs and dramatically lowering monthly energy costs.

SEED Wall Panels
All designs are licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International.
SEED wall panels are made to your specifications for wall thickness and R-value. The most popular options are R39 (2x4 interior wall with a 6" cellulose cavity) and R50 (2x6 interior wall with a 7" cellulose cavity), both sheathed with 1.5" wood fibreboard insulation.
Every wall panel includes an interior service cavity, ready for on-site rough-ins and final insulation. Panels arrive wrapped and sealed with high-performance membranes and finished with 1x4 vertical strapping, ready for exterior cladding.

SEED Roof Panels
All designs are licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International.
Typical roof panels are R-56, built with 14" I-Joists filled with cellulose insulation and sheathed with 1.5" wood fibreboard insulation. We provide an interior service cavity, as well as exterior purlins, decking, and ice and water shield.
SEED Floor Panels
All designs are licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International.
Typical floor panels are R48, built with 11 7/8" I-Joists filled with cellulose insulation, and sheathed with 1.5" wood fibreboard insulation. We provide 3/4" subfloor on the interior, and a weather-resistive barrier and rodent screen to protect the exterior.

About R-Value
SEED wall, roof, and floor panels can all be customized to reach your target R-value.
Our most common wall panel achieves R50. It combines a 7-inch exterior cavity of dense-packed cellulose, natural insulation in the interior cavity, and continuous wood fibreboard insulation on the exterior.
